Meet Regina Johnson

I’m excited to join Family Support Network of Central Carolina as Director of NICU Family Navigation and continue doing the work I love—helping families feel supported and connected. My work in nonprofits has always been driven by a desire to support families, women, and children through meaningful resources and guidance. Over the years, I have served with organizations such as YWCA High Point, Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and YouthBuild, where I developed expertise in community engagement, program development, team leadership, and collaborative problem-solving.

 

My professional journey is deeply connected to my personal experience as a NICU parent. My daughter, Sarah, was born at 29 weeks and spent four months in the NICU after facing significant medical challenges, including hydrocephalus and multiple surgeries. Fourteen years later, Sarah continues to inspire me with her determination and resilience. This lived experience drives my passion for advocating for families navigating similar circumstances and ensuring they receive the support, compassion, and resources they need.
