The Family Support Network of Central Carolina (FSNCC) offers a variety of services for families of children with special needs. Whether your child has been recently diagnosed with a disability; your family is new to the Triad; or you have questions about your child's care, we can help you find the information you need to support your child, access services, and join our community. Our services include:
Parent Mentor Program: Sometimes, the best support comes from someone else who has "been there." Research has proven that families raising children with special needs benefit significantly from the support of other parents in similar situations. Through our matching program, you can talk with a trained volunteer Mentor Parent who is raising a child with similar needs and challenges. Our access to state- and nationwide networks enables us to locate family matches even for rare conditions or situations.
We offer free social and recreational events for families each year. Our Spring Picnic and Holiday Jamboree offer opportunities to meet other families in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Please contact us to be added to our mailing list for these very special events.
Support Groups: FSNCC offers a variety of formal and informal groups for families of children with special needs in both Alamance and Guilford Counties. To learn about our existing groups, or to find out how we can help you start a new group, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Resource and referral: Contact us for free, family-friendly information regarding your child's diagnosis and treatment options; school settings; local service agencies; and much more. Whatever your question, we can help you find the information you need! Simply call our office at (336)832-6507, or email Lisa Shoffner at email@example.com
